There's not so much an employment problem as there is a recruiting problem. Recruiters do much more harm than good, to both job seekers and employers. Contract agency recruiters are the worst, idiots of the business village, but all types of companies are reported here. Lying, refusing to respond, ruining chances with botched submissions, spamming, sheer incompetence -- those are the losers we're calling out.

Brent Baker, then with BancVue, Austin.
Infuriation: Refusal to respond.
Brent solicited an applicant based on an online resume. After initial contact, he even called to hurry up the requested application. The applicant submitted extensive documentation, from a carefully edited resume to work samples. Brent then ignored the applicant completely despite three polite, succinct email queries over a month, and at least one phone call. What the heck, Brent, you don't even have the professional courtesy to email a one-line response? The applicant was responsive to you, worked hard to get submitted, and then was polite in follow-up.
